Introduction

Research Group for Recycled Concrete Structures and Construction was established in January 2015. It is a rigorous, pragmatic, enterprising, pioneering and innovative scientific research team with Professor Shaw as its academic leader.

Research Group has always attached great importance to students training and teaching. There are 3 full-time teachers, more than 10 doctoral candidates and more than 20 postgraduate students for Master’s degree in the research group. The research office has opened a number of undergraduate and graduate courses, and hosted a number of national and local teaching reform and curriculum construction projects. The research group has compiled the first recycled concrete teaching book in china.

The research group has constantly taken the research work seriously. Rigorous and in-depth science research has carried out on many fields, including recycled concrete, high performance concrete fire resistance, precast concrete structure, sea water sea sand concrete and construction waste recycling and reuse. The research group has received the science and technology progress award of National Ministy Education, more than 10 Shanghai science and technology progress award and more than 5 items of National Natural Science fund.

The research group pay attention to the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, published more than 80 SCI academic papers, more than 150 EI academic papers, presided over and participated in the formulation of 6 standards and of China and Shanghai, and applied for and obtained more than 20 patents.

The research group advocates academic freedom, attaches great importance to academic exchanges, and actively carries out international exchanges. It has invited many well-known foreign scholars to give lectures and accepted and trained a number of international students. Teachers and students in the research group also actively participate in international and domestic academic exchanges and visits, and strive to expand international vision and academic influence.
